Memorial Spring Branch Rotary Club Celebrates New Leadership

Memorial Spring Branch Rotary Club members, guests, and incoming District 5890 Governor Camille Hamilton gathered at Fratelli's Ristorante for an evening of fellowship, appreciation, and the installation of the Club's 2026–2027 officers and Board of Directors.

The evening celebrated the outstanding leadership of outgoing President Genevieve Rowland, whose year included impactful community service, expanded youth engagement, and the awarding of eleven scholarships to deserving students.

Governor Hamilton then installed President Dionne Peters and the Club's new leadership team, marking the beginning of another exciting year of Service Above Self.

Congratulations to President Peters and the 2026–2027 officers and Board as they lead Memorial Spring Branch Rotary into the coming year.

MSB Rotary Celebrates a Year of Service and Awards 11 Scholarships

Our final Friday luncheon of the Rotary year was a packed and exciting celebration of service, achievement, and new beginnings.

President Genevieve reflected on an outstanding year of club service projects, fellowship events, community partnerships, and accomplishments. Her presentation highlighted the many ways Memorial-Spring Branch Rotary members have made a positive impact throughout the year.

The luncheon then turned to one of our most rewarding traditions as we awarded scholarships to eleven exceptional students. Joined by proud parents, family members, and mentors, we celebrated their achievements and wished them success in their educational journeys ahead.

We were honored to welcome leaders from the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Houston—Swapan Dhairyawan, Ashok Garg (Rotarian), and Jagdip Ahluwalia (Rotarian)—as well as several special guests, including former Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar Lisa Reyna; Victoria Ramon, a Westchester Academy teacher and former Interact and Rotaract participant; Brayden Botary, the new president of Stratford High School Interact; and friend of the club, Katherine Bellingham.

The club also recognized incoming member Steve Blair for completing his Red Badge requirements, marking an important milestone in his Rotary journey.

Thank you to all of our members, guests, students, and families who joined us for this special luncheon. It was a wonderful way to celebrate a successful Rotary year and the bright future represented by our scholarship recipients.

Rotary After Dark: Goode Co. BBQ & Fellowship

MSB Rotary members gathered for an evening of Rotary After Dark at Goode Co. Texas Bar-B-Q, enjoying great food, lively conversation, and plenty of laughter.

Evenings like these remind us that the friendships we build through Rotary strengthen our commitment to Service Above Self. Thank you to everyone who joined us for another enjoyable Rotary After Dark—we look forward to seeing you at our next fellowship event!

Cody Riggs on Big Brothers and Big Sisters Greater Houston

Cody Riggs of Bernstein Investments shared the mission and impact of Big Brothers Big Sisters Greater Houston, along with his personal experience as a volunteer mentor. Founded in 1977, the organization has connected at-risk youth with caring adult mentors who provide guidance, encouragement, and positive role models during critical stages of their lives. Cody also explained how community members can become volunteers and make a meaningful difference in a child's future. Thank you, Cody, for speaking with our club and reminding us that each of us has the ability to be a mentor.

Congratulations to Vivian Ma on successfully completing her Red Badge Program.

A special thank-you to Sheilla Nguyen and Chrystal White for visiting our club. We enjoyed having you with us and look forward to welcoming you back again soon.
