The Rotary District 5890 held its 2026 All-Club Dinner at Safari Texas Ranch, where District Governor Tom Kelchner welcomed keynote speaker Andrew Stein from the Gates Foundation. Club turnout was outstanding as members came together to “Unite for Good.”

Our first meeting of 2026 will be the mid-year Club Assembly on Friday, January 9. We will i) review progress toward our club goals and projects ii) share updates and assess any adjustments mid-course iii) plan upcoming events and priorities iv) prepare and support incoming leaders and v) engage feedback and discussion.
Join us as we celebrate the impact we’ve made—and renew our commitment to the work ahead—to End Polio Now. Our featured speaker, Andrew Stein of the Gates Foundation, will inspire us with insights into how we can achieve a polio-free world, along with a powerful taped interview with the last living iron lung user.
Several Rotary Club members from Rotary District 5890 shopped with 19 children to provide essential items and Christmas gifts during the holiday season. This is the 2nd annual District 5890 holiday shopping event in coordination with the Spring Branch Family Development Center.
The Outreach Center of West Houston, led by (Rotarians) Jorge Quiñones and Natalie Lerner, hosted a volunteer appreciation luncheon at Cafe Benedicte. Thank you for letting MSB Rotary Club be a part of the OCWH volunteer family.
In the spirit of Bill Haglund’s annual “Ask the Vet” program, our Club President Genevieve Rowland hosted and presented the “Ask the Real Estate Professional” program. The real estate panel included fellow club member and real estate agent James Brown, builder Juan Cristales, and mortgage broker Doug Willey.
Our $25K goal was successfully achieved for this year's Rolex for Scholarship where luxury meets learning. Congratulations to this year's donors—Tiereny was gifted the Rolex watch, Valerie was gifted the Tissot watch and Vasant received the Tiffany bracelet. Big thank you to the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Houston for their major contribution! Thank you to everyone's participation in changing student lives forever.
