Our golf tournament is Tuesday!! We've saved a few spots so you and your friends or clients can bring a team of golfers, sponsors a hole, or sponsor a portion of the tournament. Your tax deductible donation will be put to good use: we support literacy programs, youth programs, scholarships, and real science in Memorial Spring Branch and around the world. In the last month, we sent a scientist to Latin America to work on clean water issues and provided ten high school seniors with college scholarships.

There was an article, "Pakistan Rotary Members Distribute Free Books", in the Rotary Voices newsletter. Those books came from our District's Rotary Books for the World project founded by PDG Charlie & Barb Clemmons. We sort and palletize books once a month and we would love to have you, and your club members, family members, Interactors, Rotaractors, and friends join us for a work day.
In addition, the containers used for shipping the books, are when empty, being converted to Polio vaccination stations in Pakistan. We are helping literacy and Polio eradication in Pakistan!
Pakistan's National PolioPlus Chair, Aziz Memon will be in Houston on September 25 for the District 5890 Foundation Dinner.
