Houston Galveston Women's Business Center

April Day spoke at the club on Friday, September 23rd.  She discussed the Houston Galveston Women's Business Center and the efforts they are making in assistance to women entrepreneurs.  She was gracious to have accepted the speaking arrangement only 24 hours prior to the meeting due to a last minute speaker cancellation.  The organization offers business management training.  The course takes the participants from development to a business model through actual presentations to a lender panel.  The panel provides feedback on the "acceptance" chances from general lending organizations.  Although focused towards women, they do accept any entrepreneurs.
