Good Morning Fellow Rotarians,
Thank you all that came to the Potluck Dinner this past Saturday. The food was wonderful. We have a lot of good of cooks in Rotary.
Last week's program was RYLA. The students did a good job of explaining what they learned about Rotary and at the RYLA camp. Thanks to Mrs. Collier, their school sponsor at W.A I.S., for bringing them. Our Rotary dollars are put to good use when we can help these students.
Our speaker this week is Abby Walker and her talk will be on the "SBISD Good Neighbor Program". We received an award from them last year. The Program is part of the Spring Branch Educational Foundation. Ed Wilson is our host for the day.
We are glad to have our two new Blue Badge members Evan Howell and Sammi Khaleeq. Also we have two new Red Badge members, Alan Rogers sponsored by Jim Jackson and Dan Monson sponsored by James Brown. Please bring a potential member guest. After the Red Badges are completed we will have 57 members.
Our attendance is up and thanks to you for attending or making up your missed meetings . Thank you for improving of our attendance. Please remember if you miss a meeting that you are in our thoughts
Remember our Paul Harris Fellow Award membership drive is still on. You pay $300 and a member will give you 700 points to make it a equal to a $1000. We have just a few who do not have a Paul Harris Fellow Award. Several have used this generosity. I would buy another but this offer is for first timers only. Part of the money will come back to the District in about 3 years.
We have our Club and District Installations, June 27th. Please bring your spouses or others to our regular meeting for our Club's installation. We have started the second table for the Districts Installation. Please sign up time is short.
A note to the members who attended the Potluck Dinner. If by chance if you ended up with a pie server, Dean Bybee is missing one.
I talked to Andy Garg, our Fund Raising Chair about having a golf tournament to raise funds and he agreed. I presented it to the board and they pasted on it and the date. So put on your calendar, September 17th. (Wednesday), at 8AM to 12 Noon. It will be held at Clear Creek Golf Course in Bass Park, on Fellows Road (past 288), off the Beltway, in Pearland. More information will follow.
See you Friday.
